"The idea of Summit was always planted in the minds of us. Being friends since Middle School and High School, we often found ourselves having late nights playing whatever games on our Xbox's or PC's, not necessarily focused on the game, but the rather the discussions we had. These discussions had very vast topics, all with comedic levels of actual education and research done prior to support our arguments, but it was clear from the start that these games we played were always an excuse to discuss whatever was going on in our lives and what was occurring on an incomprehensible level around us. Games have existed for thousands of years, and recently are turning more and more into an escape from the world, which we believe isn't what the world needs right now.
As we've grown into adulthood, we've realized that these outlets for discussion are drastically diminishing. Far too often now you see mindless debates through social media comment sections and discussion boards, with no progress coming from it. We ultimately want Summit games to become that game again not only for us but others; that's played in the background yet drives proactive discussions on the world around us. We strongly believe that education and discussion are the most important factors when it comes to interacting with others, developing empathy for those around us, and understanding others views and their reasons behind them before making assumptions.
We hope one day that Summit can have a positive impact on the world around us by bringing awareness to the events around us in a comprehensible and enjoyable way. We've designed Summit in the hopes that it brings people together through discussion, regardless of anyone's ideologies, beliefs or opinions. Summit is ultimately a passion project of ours; over the last almost two years of development it was never the deadlines we assigned to ourselves that got the work done, but the long-term view of the impact we could have one day."
